Kapiti E-bike Group

The Kapiti E Bike Group is a group of individuals who ride together locally, and further afield.

They welcome riders of any brand, type of e-bike or supplier to take part in our rides.

WEEKLY RIDES – ON EVERY TUESDAY/THURSDAY WEATHER PERMITTING

We have a common starting point at the E-bikes & Mobility shop, 16 Ihakara Street, Paraparaumu.
For convenience you can choose to meet others at pre-defined locations on route. If you are not setting off from the start, text our contact 021 771512 to confirm the route that day.

Rides are weather dependent, and are as follows.


Tuesday – Ride to Peka Peka / North Grade 1

Meet 10.30am at the E-Bikes & Mobility shop, 16 Ihakara St.
10.35am on the Express Way track closest to Ihakara Street, near the footbridge.
10.40am on the Express Way track at Kapiti Road
10.45am on the Express Way track at Mazengarb Road
10.50am on the Express Way track at Otaihanga Road
11.00am on the Express Way track at Te Moana Road

Wednesday – Ride to Waikanae Township via Airport/Manly/Sand Dunes/Waikanae River North side – Return Waikanae River South Side/Otaraua Park/Rail line/Awatea Lagoon.
Grade 2 ride

Meet 10.30am at the E-Bikes & Mobility shop, 16 Ihakara St.
10.35am on the Express Way track closest to Ihakara Street, near the footbridge.

Coming from Waikanae – you can meet the group at 10.55am at the Otaihanga Reserve by the toilets

Thursday – Ride to Paekakariki Grade 1-2
Meet 10.30am at the E-Bikes & Mobility shop, 16 Ihakara St.
10.35am on the track closest to Ihakara Street, near the footbridge.
10.50am at the Poplar Ave entrance to the bike track, Raumati South.

Level 2 Riding allows up to 100 riders so we are safe!
The golden rules of Alert Level 2
-If you’re sick, stay home.  If you have cold or flu symptoms call your doctor.
-Wash your hands.
-Sneeze or cough into your elbow and disinfect surfaces.
-Isolate immediately if told to by authorities.
-If you have underlying conditions, talk with your GP about precautions.
-Stay vigilant.
-Be kind to others and to yourself.
